Current Activity: The Union County Health Department is reporting 26 current active COVID-19 infections among Union County residents. One individual is currently hospitalized. No deaths have been reported since May. From Aug. 04 to Aug. 17, the number of reported active illnesses continues to hover around 2-3 cases each day.
Cumulative Cases: In total, the Union County Health Department has received report of 262 cases since the first case was reported on March 20. 235 individuals have been released from isolation and are no longer considered infectious. 26 individuals have active infections and are in isolation. 1 death has been reported. Hospitalization has been required for 15 individuals during the course of their illness. 17 individuals have experienced no symptoms (considered asymptomatic). 89% of cases have experienced mild illness. 5% of cases have been asymptomatic, 4% of cases have experienced illness that required hospitalization. 2% of cases have required ICU care or resulted in death.
