Appointment Scheduler Will Open at 6:30pm Today: We have some additional COVID-19 vaccine and are opening up an appointment scheduler today (2/20) at 6:30pm for a vaccination clinic next week. Go to www.uchdclinic.org beginning at 6:30pm today to schedule an appointment. The vaccination clinic will be held, Tuesday (2/23).
Once on the appointment scheduler, you will need to select the Adults Age 65+ location to schedule your appointment. Under the “How do you qualify” question, you will need to select your eligible age group – OR – select that you are a person with a qualifying congenital or early onset condition that developed at birth or in childhood (see list below in the who is eligible this week section).
Please note, once all available appointments are full, the scheduler will. Once all appointment slots are gone, an error message indicating all available time slots are full and/or the scheduler will become password protected as a secondary safeguard to prevent more appointments from being booked than vaccine available.
This scheduler and vaccination clinic is intended for Union County, Ohio residents.
UCHD Phone Bank is Not Open Today: The UCHD phone bank will not be open to assist individuals who need help booking their appointment online as all staff are working in clinic today. Union County Senior Services is also not able to assist via the phone. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Who is eligible this week: Per the eligibility guidelines set by the State of Ohio, this week we are vaccinating persons age 65 and older and persons under age 65 who were born with or developed in childhood and carried into adulthood one of the qualifying medical conditions. Qualifying congenital or early onset conditions that developed at birth or in childhood and carried into adulthood are:
• Sickle cell anemia.
• Down syndrome.
• Cystic fibrosis.
• Muscular dystrophy.
• Cerebral palsy.
• Spina bifida.
• People born with severe heart defects, requiring regular specialized medical care.
• People with severe type 1 diabetes, who have been hospitalized for this in the past year.
• Phenylketonuria (PKU), Tay-Sachs, and other rare, inherited metabolic disorders.
• Epilepsy with continuing seizures; hydrocephaly; microcephaly, and other severe neurological disorders.
• Turner syndrome, fragile X syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome, and other severe genetic disorders.
• People with severe asthma, who have been hospitalized for this in the past year.
• Alpha and beta thalassemia.
• Solid organ transplant candidates and recipients.
