Additional COVID-19 Vaccine to be Administered This Week: The Union County Health Department has received an additional shipment of COVID-19 vaccine. This vaccine is being used for Phase 1a EMS providers and healthcare workers routinely providing direct care to COVID-19 patients or persons with COVID-19 symptoms. However, we have received approval to use remaining doses from this shipment for our 80 and older population. This vaccine needs to be administered this week.
Please accept this email as notice that appointment scheduling for these remaining doses will open up tomorrow (Jan. 21) in the afternoon. You will receive another email message tomorrow morning (Jan. 21) with further details on when and how these appointments can be booked.
Only persons age 80 and older will be eligible for this clinic. Please note, the timeframe for scheduling an appointment will be very condensed due to the quick turnaround for administering the vaccine that is being asked of our office.
Please do not call our office before Thursday afternoon. The scheduler will NOT open until in the afternoon on Thursday. The exact time the scheduler will open will be shared through this email list tomorrow morning. Please be on the lookout for the morning email with further information.
